The mission of the Lake Charles Downtown Business Association is to catalyze the growth of downtown businesses through events, communications, special projects, and mutual support. We will accomplish this through partnerships with the residents, businesses, property owners, and government.

A Rich Culture & History
Downtown Lake Charles has a history dating back 150 years. Over the years, downtown has gone from a thriving and dense city center, to abandoned buildings, to a concrete wasteland, and now back to a burgeoning economic city center. As downtown began to grow again, business owners identified a need to unite and support each other to collectively.
In 2017, a group of business owners came together to form the Downtown Business Association. The DBA is a registered 501(c)(6) in the State of Louisiana, has a Board of Directors who meet monthly, as well as an active membership who work together to bring great events and commerce to downtown.
